I am ready for a change–in the weather, in my scope of practice–and in this site! Stay tuned for changes in the coming weeks.
I welcome the members of my Career Advisor Training to my website, linaebieber.com. This website is a comprehensive look at my artwork and professional information. The information and images are current, with artwork going back to 2012.
Because I am an artist who has almost always had a career outside of creating art, it makes sense to integrate that information into this portal. By doing so, I have created a “one stop shop” of my professional life.
Most artists struggle to integrate their creative life with what they do to support themselves. I have been particularly lucky to work in engaging positions, teach creativity topics and make and sell my art work.

I am packed and ready to go to the Michigan Womyn’s Music Festival! Yipee!
Here are a couple of views of the item I am donating to the Festival door prizes (view through full site only):
With the afternoon I have left today, I am going to do a bit more dyeing of silk. I would like to have one or two more silk organza curtains for my display.
Ahhhhh! I feel so awesome and so prepared…
Isn’t this awesome?? I am realizing that dyework is exactly what I want to be doing!!
I’ve been a wanderer in a strange land these last nine years.
Those of you who know me understand that I left a studio practice after a series of tragedies–I launched out for a strange, new world to try my hand as a new North Dakotan and entrepreneur. I learned a lot in the process.
These last weeks, I’ve reconnected with my skills and passion for dyeing cloth. I’ve also explored intuitively metalworking with copper and brass. I am finding the creative “food” and motivation I thought I’d left behind. It is scary and exciting!
Today I will finish editing pictures of my new body of work in hand-patterned silk. I will take digital shots of the over 50 new copper and brass pieces created in the last month. Within the week, the best of these will be part of my website and posted to Facebook.
